Is it just me or are Laffy Taffy jokes getting way too literal?

Here's the first of today's jokes: "How many vampires does it take to put in a light bulb?" I thought for sure that the answer would be something along the lines of "Two. One to put the light bulb in place and one to hold the protective welder's glass so they don't melt." The answer was simply "None. Vampires like the dark."

The second joke went "What is the best way to keep water from running?" Instead of something like "Cut off its legs," the answer was actually "Don't pay the water bill."

These aren't jokes. They're simply common sense.
