Oh man! I had forgotten about the existence of Jimmy Chunga. For those of us who know longer live in the Wasatch Front, what great affront did he commit against X96 (when did that return into existence).
i don't think he's done anything lately but be really really annoying and egotistical. i guess you've been gone for a while now, so i'll just tell you that the funniest thing about the morning programs in utah is just the sheer absurdity of how unentertaining they've become. chunga has gone through a spiral of embarrasing self-absorbsion and kerry, bill and gina only talk about how everyone hates them, but they're not doing anything about it anyway. i don't think it was an affront other than more of a long-standing sort of animosity. apparently when chunga interned for bill allred, bill told him a fun radio name would be 'jimmy chunga' and then brett smith swiped it. i happened to hear bill tell that story a couple of months ago and i guess he was still annoyed enough with it to give the big reveal. sadder, for sure, is my unrelenting obsession with morning show activities.
Bill Allred must be getting close to 60 since he was probably 40 10 years ago and since he was twice as old as me he must also age twice as fast. Is Andrea still on? Heather once called in b/c she was convinced her name was "Ambrea," not realizing that Ambrea/Andrea was on the air right then. They played it on the air, and I heard it in my car on the way over to pick up Heather. It was pretty hilarious.
