Until I can think of a better title, the name of the comic will be "Living in the Geekdom" from now on.
This comic, as usual, took a lot longer than I wanted especially since I had another idea for a comic that I was putting off because I thought it would be too complicated. This one is complicated in its own weird way. See if you can figure out who's talking and when, because I have a hard time figuring it out myself.
New character!

Awesome! Just awesome. It's ridiculous how close to reality your comics seem to be. I don't think I actually said "no meta-naming" but now I wish I had.
Oh man- what I wouldn't give to sit in on a Tuesday night.
You made me laugh so hard I frightened my students. So you, by proxy, have now frightened about 30 13-year-olds. Congratulations!
Honestly, your comics are sooo funny. You did a great job. I think Joey, especially, looks eerily like Joey.
ok... whats meta-naming?
oh ya... and I like how there has been 3 weeks of games but according to the comic strip you guys haven't played yet..
BTW.. these are really awesome!
That was a tad confusing but also very funny. Makes me wanna join a LARP society right now.
to answer the question if i could (actually one of the homestarmy would probably answer better), meta-GAMING is (if my experience from our second day is any indication) when your character acts as if he or she is aware that he or she is a character in a game. i think pete actually said to me 'no meta-gaming' when, in-game i told a character what was written on my character sheet. meta-NAMING is something i just made up, but it's pretty much the same thing, but it's specific to joey's character named han. apparently, our characters have no knowledge of the star wars universe. which is lame.
Geez.
For the record, the name 'Han' had nothing to do with Star Wars - it's as I said on Tuesday: the halfling race in Faerûn refer to themselves as 'the Hin', and my character chose the name 'Han' as an inside joke to other halflings - Han the Hin. I'm sure there's a way to work both 'hone' and 'hen' into that sentence as well, but haven't given it sufficient thought yet.
oh, and to answer rhett's other point. the one i planned to do actually did deal with actual gameplay, but it would have been too complicated to draw so i procrastinated it with this one instead. which, despite my procrastination may have been a good idea because this introduced everybody sort of.
oh, and han, i meant to say that i figured the 'meta-naming' accusation was directed at me for bringing star wars into it and not you. of course i don't know what's geekier -- adding star wars to the whole thing or going legit with the halfling thing. i'm also totally confused now as to whether it's a compliment or an insult to even say what's geekier.
